Maui

I went to Maui for the day on Monday to visit my Uncle Craig and Aunt Barbara and also to videotape their friends Ryan and McKenzie's beach wedding. Jeff didn't go with me but hopefully sometime soon we can go together. =) Before Jeff and I left to drop me off at the airport we took this pic...I'd never seen him in the camo pants before so I was excited. He had done an obstacle course with the marines earlier so he had to have them on.

I flew out of Honolulu to Kapalua, Maui on this tiny plane at 2:15pm. I love flying...but this plane was a little too small for me. As we were taking off and climbing...the plane kept dropping due to the turbulence. Not fun. The flight took 30 minutes. I was very happy when we landed.

Craig and Ryan picked me up from the smallest airport I've ever seen then we went back to the beachfront condo to relax before the ladies got back from their spa experience. Here is a pic of the beach right outside the back door.

The wedding was amazing. The ceremony was performed by a Hawaiian in all of the traditional Hawaiian stufff. I thought I did pretty well for someone who never uses a videocamera. Everyone seemed like they had a great time. We even saw a HUGE seaturtle swim right by close to the beach. I did have a wardrobe malfunction. While I was setting up the shot for the wedding...I stepped on my dress and broke the strap. So I proceeded to do an excellent imitation of Janet Jackson performing at the superbowl then asked for a safety pin which the wedding planner happened to have...thank God. It would have been less embarressing if it hadn't of happened with twenty people from another wedding overlooking the part of the beach I was setting up on. I'm sure when they review their film they are going to have quite a laugh at my expense.
So this is Ryan and McKenzie...congradulations you two! Thanks for having me out!

I've been in Hawaii over a month now...and this is my first Hawaiian sunset!

After we dropped the newlyweds off for their dinner, the three of us went out to dinner at "Canoes." The food was amazing as well as the company. Craig and Barb are the first of hopefully many to come see me out here. They will be in Oahu tomorrow until Saturday or Sunday. Jeff and I are going to pick them up from their hotel to show them the house and take them out to dinner. Maybe Giovanni's??? We will see!
