Thank you to everyone who sent us a box to make our holidays here in Hawaii more enjoyable! Our tree is filling up fast and we are so excited to open everything! (Because I had to put most of the presents actually in the tree to save them from our curious kitties, it has developed a gansta lean). We tried extra hard this year to ensure everyone in our family got a little something to unwrap from us. It ended up being 8 boxes that we mailed out this past week! Which brings me to the post office during the holiday rush...I'm so happy I don't work there. The line was out the door! I feel for my little sister who works at Macy's.
Our tree in all of it's plastic glory!
My sister Erin and her boyfriend James were here this past week. They stayed at our house for 4 days! We had an awesome time spending time together. Jeff had to work during the day all four days so while he did that, the three of us ran around the island seeing things. We woke up at 5:oo am the first morning, dropped Jeff off of work and then went up to the North Shore to watch "The Eddy," a big wave compitition in memory of a past North Shore lifeguard and local. Some of you may have seen on the news a couple weeks back that a San Clemente resident won it with a perfect 100 ride! The waves were maxing out at 40 feet! This would have been nice to actually see because I messed up and went to the wrong beach first and by the time we found the right one, thousands of other people beat us there. I did manage to find Pipeline though! (Hey give me a break I just moved here.) It was a good time as we did get to see the gnarly waves as we drove by very slowly trying not to hit anyone walking along the cliff line.

We spent a lot of time at the beach that week. I was able to catch up on my tan! =)

Jeff and I treated them to a luau for Erin's birthday.

It seemed like the week went by too fast for all involved. Jeff and James went golfing one day while Erin and I got the most expensive pedi's EVER. When it came time to say goodbye it was sad for me a little bit. I really miss my family but it was awesome to have them here! Thank you both we had a great time with you! Ma-holla!! LOL
Jeff and I attended his command Christmas party last week as well. It was at the Hickam Air Force Base's Officer's Club. To say the least, it was beautiful. It was outside and right on the egde of Pearl Harbor. We didn't win any cool prizes but we did get a chance to dress pretty for the night!
Kiko and Nani are the bestest of friends!
They do things that make us laugh like...sitting like we do on the couch...
Sleeping under the fan...
Or in the sink.
I'm most pleased with how much weight Nani has gained. Her coat has gotten so shiny!
We discovered just last night that Kiko likes to play fetch! She will bring the mouse-y back to you over and over again...even dropping it right into your hand! I've seen cats do it before but it's the first one I've owned that does it! Looks like Jeff got his "dog" after all!
