Happy New Year!

Hello family and friends! I hope the new year is going as well for all of you as it is for us. Jeff is now working nights so our schedule has allowed us more time to spend together. We are going out every week to someplace new to keep our life in Hawaii more interesting. This past week we went over to Waikiki to Duke's Canoe Club for a couple drinks and dinner. It is located at the Outrigger Hotel right on the beach. Our patience paid off well as we were able to get a table right on the water and enjoy ourselves a bit. There's a Duke's in Huntington Beach as well as Malibu for those of you in CA who wish to check it out.








I'm on a mission to get in shape for Kaitlin's wedding this July. I'm well on my way as I have been working out this past week almost every day. I've noticed that just from eating mostly fruit and other healthy snacks throughout the day I feel much more energized and in an awesome mood constantly. My days at work seem to go by much faster. I'm trying to time it so by this March I can go pick out my bridesmaid dress without having to get it altered drastically later in the year. Jeff and I having been looking at plane tickets as well. If we were to fly next week it would only cost us 325 a person to fly into LAX (other airports are much more expensive unfortunetly..LAX sucks). But because we are flying over there in peak vacation season it's going to cost double that! So a savings plan is also in place this year. Tax season should help give us a boost with that. =) We are so lucky to be young enough to not pay taxes every year! We will be enjoying that for hopefully many years to come.

It has been on the cooler side on the island lately...59 degrees last night! I do fear that I am going to be the biggest wimp when we move back to the mainland. We are getting spoiled with all of the warm weather here. I do look foward to all of the new winter clothes I'm going to have to buy. =)

On a side note...
Jeff was golfing a little over a week ago and the secret service came up to his group and frisked them. Then Obama came along and said hello to them. Jeff told the president Happy New Year! How exciting! Here he is golfing.
