Wow, has it really been a month?

Tis' the season everyone! As Jeff and I laid out on the beach yesterday we pondered over how awesome it is to have 85 degree weather in December (almost). If it wasn't for the Christmas decorations popping up all over town we wouldn't even have realized how close Christmas really is. We are excited about our first holiday season together! I've been picking up Christmas tree ornaments here and there to put on our tree whenever we get around to picking one up. I've got a Christmas wreath that Grammie got for me a few years back and a few other things that family members have gifted so as soon as I dig them out it will be on. I may even pick up a festive CD to listen to while doing all of this (thanks Amanda for the idea).

I'm sorry I haven't updated this blog lately! I have been working two jobs for the past month and it has really taken a toll on not only my social life but my school work as well...I'm afraid I have much to catch up on! I have been averaging one day off per week. I no longer work at Zippy's as of yesterday. I put in my two weeks a couple weeks ago. My coworkers there were sad to see me go but understood that Jeff and I really needed to have a day off together. They bought me a lei to wish me good luck and told me to come back if I ever need another job again. (It was my FIRST lei by the way) I still have it in the fridge and it still is in great shape...they must put a lot of preservatives on those things! (Almost all leis in Hawaii come from Tonga and other island nations...very few are made here.) Things are going awesome at Starbucks. I really like working there. I can now make everything in my sleep...and I actually do which is the weird thing (Very similar to the Macaroni Grill dreams that several of my friends can relate to.)

Jeff has been working 4 days or less a week it seems. This base he's on always has a reason that they don't have to work. This past Friday their command had a bowling tournament...DURING working hours! I by chance had the morning off and was able to watch him and his team and meet a lot of people he works with.

Jeff says that there is nothing new to report and that he's happy laying down on the couch where he is now.

Thanksgiving was...tiring and awesome. I worked most of the day then went over to Jeff's coworkers house for dinner. There was about 12 of us or so...a few couples and single marines and sailors. The turkey was huge and the food was a plenty. The guys played Halo for a bit then we all gathered in the loving room to eat and watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. It was pretty funny. It reminded me of Mystery Science Theater 3000 as we all talked and commented the entire time that Snoopy must be a ninja and so on. Although we did not know many of the people there, it was cool how all of us came together to enjoy the evening together. Thanksgiving is one of those holidays that makes me really miss my family...especially after being put on speaker phone at my grandparent's house. Being so far away can be sad...and I'll be so happy to see everyone next year! I asked my dad what he wanted for Christmas and the first thing he said was to see me! Awwww!!! =(

The kitties are doing so well!!!! They are no longer sick and their noses are finally cold and wet on a daily basis! Nani has gained a lot of weight and Kiko is now one crazy and cuddly kitten. They make me laugh all of the time. They have an obsession with my kitchen and house mats. For some reason it is the coolest "toy" they have! The mats are never where they belong anymore...and here's why.

A couple of weeks ago Jeff's Grandpa Dave and JoAnn were here! We had such a great time with them! We went out to dinner a couple of times and they came over to check out the pad. (house) I had to work most days that they were here, but Jeff got to go golfing with Grandpa along with his friend Jessie and his Grandpa. (Yes, Jeff has made a friend too!!!) Here we all are..

My sister Erin and her boyfriend James will be here in one week!! Jeff and I just purchased luau tickets for the four of us. We are treating them for Erin's birthday. Yay! Pictures to come later.
