So tired!

I have been so under the weather this past week! On Sunday Jeff and I were eating at the newly reopened California Pizza Kitchen down the street. It was as if God snapped his finger and all of a sudden I felt an enormous pressure on my head. The room started spinning very slowly and I was very disoriented. I kept saying to Jeff that something was wrong and my poor husband didn't know what to so or how to help me. I put my head on the table and prayed that I wouldn't pass out. I did not want to be that lady that passed out in the middle of the CPK on OPENING WEEKEND. I had him walk me outside and sat on a bench trying to regain my balance. We got our food to go and went home. The rest of the night I felt sick to my stomach and the world kept spinning. Any normal person would have gone to the ER right then and there but me being stubborn I decided to sleep it off. The next day (Monday) I had to work and again me being stubborn I decided to work my 8 1/2 hour shift THEN go to the ER. I've told quite a few people I work with that if I ever miss a shift just assume I'm in the ER. I've never even been a minute late! So I started my workday feeling weird and spinny. One of my coworkers, Katie, (bless her heart) asked me if I was feeling OK and took control of the situation and immediately started looking for people to cover for me. My boss I think, I'm not sure I haven't talked to anyone about it, stayed late for me and they sent me on my merry way to the ER. Have any of you ever sat in an ER for 7 1/2 hours? Jeff and I did! We knew we could have gone to a regular hospital but we ended up going to Triplar Medical Center for the military people. There were so many people there! It took 6 hours before my name was called. The doctors poked and prodded me and then diagnosed me with Vertigo. I got an IV for fluids and nausea meds and a pain shot for my headache. It seemed to work and they put me on another med to control the spinning. These past few days have been so tiring! The med is making me lethargic and sleepy. Any small task involves me getting up then taking a nap. Today I went back to the doc for a follow up. She told me that Vertigo is associated with inner ear problems and I probably had a virus that had caused a small infection but it was not noticeable at the moment. I am supposed to go off of the spinning med tomorrow and see what happens. If I am still spinny then she wants me to take it. Moving on to another issue...I get headaches almost every day. I've had friends tell me that migranes can be associated with Vertigo. I am now taking another med the moment I feel one coming on and so far it seems to be working. The doctor was a little upset at me for not seeing her sooner for the migrane issue. She gave me a small lecture about delaying treatment and all of that jazz. So thats all the medical stuff in a nutshell although I may have left out tidbits of info here and there for all of you. I'm tired! =)
I go back to work on Friday and as long as I can take it easy as much as possible I believe I will be fine. Thank you to Alyssa, my coworker, for covering shifts for me this week!
