So much has gone on these past few weeks! It's taken me a couple days to round up all of the pictures I have to edit them and get them posted on here. Life is awesome. Moving to Hawaii has been the time of our lives and I hope it never ends. Now if only we can get everyone we know and love to move out here we may never leave... =)
Remember the cherry tomatos I am growing...look at how big they are! They take up my entire patio!

Jeff celebrated his 24th birthday on May 4th. There were a couple firsts for him.
1. He had fried ice cream for the FIRST time EVER. How he waited so long to enjoy something so yummy is beyond me.
2. He had a malsada. Malsadas are similar to fried ice cream but instead of ice cream its more like a donut. (And yes I know donuts are fried) But malsadas have this gooey texture that is so much better. Yum!
Here we are waiting for malsadas.
Jeff and I throwing out the big 2-4 for all to see and relish.
And at home later with the ice cream cake! There are so many candles you can't even see it!
Most of these pictures are taken with my camera phone as my real camera is slowly meeting its demise...I'm getting a new one for my birthday I've decided.
Two weeks ago my bff Kimmy left the island to help her grandparents in CA. It was really sad to see her go but she will be back soon! All of us Starbuckians came to see her off on her last day although most are not in this picture...

I teased Kimmy a lot about going on "vacation" to CA and told her many times to hide me in her suitcase. There are a quite a few of you bffs I miss oodles. I'm glad we have the ability to pick up the phone and pick up right where we left off regardless of how long it's been that we've talked. Those to me are true friends. I miss you ladies!
Jeff and I took a few of our friends to Maunawili Falls this past week. The hike was a sloppy wet muddy creek crossing bug biting heck of a time! It was about 3 miles round trip. The cool thing about it was the pool at the base of the falls was deep enough to swim in and jump into! Isaac and I were the only ones brave enough to fight the coldness of the water (although kings river water is A LOT colder). I think Jeff would have had fun but didn't want to get his clothes wet as we had nothing to change into.
Alyssa and I cross the creek one of about 7 or 8 times...I am almost falling while trying to pose for this pic.
Jeff and Isaac taking a break at the falls..Jeff's glowing!
Me jumping off of the falls. There was a few other super high spots but we couldnt get a good pic of Isaac being brave and climbing up there. I was too chicken to follow him on that one!
Jeff has the biggest smile...so cute.
Jeff's baseball team made it to the base championship series...and lost the last game therefore coming in second place. During the last game Jeff got beamed in the head almost on his neck, scored once and caught a few flies into left field. I was so proud of him so doing something he loves! Here is an awesome shot..
A few random things...
1. I got promoted to shift supervisor at work! I started a couple of days ago and should be ready to run everything in a couple weeks or so. I'm grateful that working at Starbucks is something I actually enjoy doing. I encourage all of you who are not happy at their job to find a differnt one that does! I am healthy and happy because of it.
2. Nani and Kiko got their first actual brushing with a de-shedder comb yesterday. I thought Nani would love it and Kiko would be scared of it...but it's the other way around! Kiko (the white one) just sits and purrs while I brush her and Nani runs away. Funny kitties. Also Nani (the black one) has assumed to role of cockroach killer and disposal. She eats them...it's crunchy...it's gross to watch. It is almost impossible to not have them in your house at some point in Hawaii. They are EVERYWHERE! And they bite (the striped ones do anyway) EW. There was one in the living room the other day that Nani was batting around and Jeff mentioned that it must have been the one in the hallway he saw Kiko playing with earlier. I immediately told Jeff the next time he sees one he must kill it...not walk away and let the thing run all over the house! Double EW.
3. Jeff is now working the morning shift again. This means he leaves for work at 5:30am and gets home by 3pm. I work nights and leave just before he gets home and get off by 10pm. So we don't see each other as much. It makes me even more grateful if I get a weekend day off. So we have 4 or less days off a month with each other. Bummer.
